Volunteer State Hoops Tourney to be Held

This Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville will be buzzing with wall-to-wall basketball action at the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) Division II boys and girls BlueCross Basketball Championships.

When the final basketball has tickled the twine, two boys teams and two girls teams will emerge as 2015 TSSAA state champions.

Two Conference Rival Eastern Illinois Boys Basketball Teams to Collide

Two highly skilled Okaw Valley Conference boys basketball teams located in the shadow of the University of Illinois will duke it out for league bragging rights this Friday.

Those teams – Tolono Unity High School (10-2) and Monticello High School (8-2) – are located due south and southwest, respectively, of Champaign, Illinois, and are separated by a mere 20 miles along Highway 18.

The 2014 New Mexico Activities Association U.S. Bank State Boys Basketball Championships presented by Farmers Insurance Group are currently underway, with all of the finals to be held in The Pit on the campus of the University of New Mexico.

When the smoke clears, state champions will be crowned in six enrollment classifications in The Land of Enchantment.
