Bragging rights in the California Interscholastic Federation-Sac-Joaquin Section will be on the line Friday when two standout Sierra Foothill League girls basketball teams meet.
In that contest, Loomis Del Oro High School (14-4 overall and 3-1 in league play) will host Folsom High School (15-5 and 3-2).

This Friday and Saturday, there will be lobs, digs and kills galore at the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) girls volleyball section championships.
When all is said and done, numerous players, teams and coaches will have done their schools and communities proud as they will have brought home the hardware in the form of section titles.
On Tuesday, two Northern California baseball powers will clash in an early season showdown, when San Jose Bellarmine (8-0) hosts Mountain View St. Francis (5-1 and ranked No. 4 in the nation by USA Today).

The grappling action will be fast and furious on February 7 and 8 when two girls wrestling tournaments featuring athletes from three California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) sections take place.
The NFHS Network’s inaugural sports season is in the books and with it came numerous record setting performances from student-athletes across the nation.

This Saturday, it will be a classic North-South showdown when the Concord (California) De La Salle High School football team makes a long southerly trek to play Anaheim (California) Servite High School at Santa Ana Stadium. Click here to watch this game on the NFHS Network.
De La Salle, which is located near the Bay Area in the northern part of the state, is a member of the California Interscholastic Federation-North Coast Section. Meanwhile, at the other end of the state, Servite is part of the CIF-Southern Section.
